New Toggle Button Collection

Toggle Button Collection
I have been wanting to create a toggle collection for while. They are very textural, which I like a lot. I recently had a request from someone for toggle buttons in turquoise w/2 holes, no shank. These are the samples I glazed for her. I am going to experiment with different color combinations. I put on Walnut Brown in the recesses (which looked good by itself), Teal Blue in some areas and overglazed with Duncan’s Envision Glaze, Caribbean Blue. It was interesting to see how the brown turned out, almost a Teal itself.
There is another design but I couldn’t get the mold to turn out correct. Hopefully I can remake the mold this weekend with my new molding compounds that came this week.
What do you think? Are they Toggley enough? I’m sure that’s a word.

Tari, I love these~I think they are plenty toggley~ They would be great as clasps as well as for clothing. My favorite is the bubbly pebble one.

Oh, thanks! I love the clasp idea! I saw an interesting idea for a clasp. It was basically 2 shank buttons but one had an extra shank to put a loop through. I have been thinking about making those. Hmmmmmmm Or as a double button closure which I was working on before. Thanks for reminding me. I better get to work!

Those are fun toggles. I was thinking they would be great on yummy bulky handknitted or crocheted sweaters, too.

Rich textures!! Great shapes!! These are standouts for fiber/wool artists…or to” pluck off ” the old butons on a favorite sweater and replace with these…changes the whole thing…and for that matter….all your buttons wake up, shake up & brighten ANYTHING they are attached to!! Thanks for sharing Tari!!!
